Porcelain Veneers

When Art Meets Science

At Noreen Goldwire DDS, we love to witness our patients see their brilliant new smile for the first time. Veneers can dramatically transform your smile and are even sometimes referred to as instant orthodontics.

Issues that can be corrected with veneers:

  • Chips

  • Stains (Even deeply discolored teeth)

  • Small gaps between teeth

  • Alter length and size of teeth

  • Give a slightly crooked tooth the appearance of being straight

While getting veneers may sound extreme, it isn’t. Veneers are a highly conservative approach to cosmetically correcting your smile. These paper-thin pieces of porcelain bond to the outside of your natural teeth. Don't be fooled just because they're thin! Veneers are remarkably versatile and can replicate all the complex nuances of a natural tooth.

Good Planning Paves The Way

Like any treatment plan, there’s a lot of diagnostic work and careful planning that goes veneers. Models, photographs, and digital x-rays allow Dr. Noreen Goldwire to create the perfect blueprint to guide your treatment from start to finish. He will listen to your input and incorporate your desires into your veneer case. From color to shape, we will create the perfect veneers for you.

The Next Steps

Once the doctor plans your case, it will take around two appointments to complete the treatment. At the first visit, your teeth will be gently prepared to allow space for the ultra-thin porcelain to be crafted by a master lab technician.

The doctor will create temporary restorations that mimic the veneers, which you’ll wear for up to three weeks. The temporary restorations provide a preview of your new smile and let you try it out to see if any further changes are desired.

Delivering The Magic

After your veneers have been masterfully crafted to our doctor's specific instructions, you'll return for a second appointment. Noreen Goldwire DDS will try in each veneer and evaluate the appearance and fit. She will go through several steps to precisely bond the thin veneers to the surface of your teeth, creating an incredibly strong bond between tooth and porcelain. Minor adjustments to your bite and a final polish will leave you with a smile that may have you wondering why you waited so long to find Noreen Goldwire DDS.
